Located seven miles from Galway Downs, Temecula Creek Inn has always been a great place for out-of-town exhibitors and their families to stay. Its 300 acres offer peace and relaxation from the minute you turn onto Rainbow Canyon Road to the moment you drop the horse show day’s baggage – literal and figuratively – in one of its spacious rooms.
Centuries-old oak trees dominate the landscape, and award-winning dining is available in several settings – from the beautiful dining room to in-room service. Those who might not want to spend all day at the show can enjoy a 27-hole golf course, winery tours or a visit to nearby Old Town Temecula.
The Inn’s considerable appeal is newly elevated by an extensive renovation to all 123 guest rooms.
Big Beautiful Rooms

Unusually spacious to begin with, the rooms now feature upgrades that are contemporary and timeless. Modern lighting and luxury plank flooring complement refreshed bathrooms with quartz countertops, illuminated mirrors and nickel fixtures. The first phase of the renovation is complete, and all rooms are expected to be completed by this spring – just in time for the Galway Downs International Horse Trials that start March 27.
Private balconies or patios on each room connect guests to the natural beauty of the Inn’s site. Nestled into the base of the Santa Margarita Mountains, the property offers gorgeous views in every direction. Walking paths weave around the buildings, all of them overlooking the beautifully maintained golf course. And a hiking trail beckons for those seeking an invigorating sunrise or sunset stroll.
The 27-hole championships golf course is a major Temecula Creek Inn attraction. Three courses – Creek, Oaks and Stone House – offer challenging play for tournaments and leisurely individual rounds. Awarded a Four Star rating from Golf Digest’s Places to Play, the courses make the most of frequent sunny days. Beautiful oak trees offer spreading shade throughout.
Fresh Fine Dining

As an increasingly popular travel destination, Temecula is famous for excellent food and wine and the Inn epitomizes that.
Corkfire Kitchen offers a fresh take on contemporary Californian garden-to-table dining. The dining room has huge windows overlooking the golf course while the adjacent Patio adds fresh air and a big stone fireplace as a great space to enjoy delicious, innovative meals and time with family and friends. The Lounge serves craft cocktails and the best of the best from the region’s many wineries and breweries.
In-room dining is available, and a Grab and Go cart next to the pool offers healthy to-go options, coffee drinks and adult beverages.
The Inn’s on-site Chef’s Garden is the key to the Inn’s garden-to-table approach. Guests can stroll through for a peek at what fresh produce inspires that day’s creative menu temptations.
Butterflies in Residence
The nearby Butterfly Habitat has earned rave reviews from guests. A home for endangered Monarch butterflies, the Habitat was created a few years ago as part of a major water conservation project. Taking the place of turf and requiring far less water, the project has helped save approximately 375,000 gallons of water per year.
As a Lodging Partner for Galway Downs equestrian events, Temecula Creek Inn provides special rates for exhibitors throughout the year. They’re not limited to horse show dates, although some black-out dates apply. Return often to take advantage of all the Inn and the area have to offer! Here’s the Galway Downs reservation link.
