Originally opened in 1968 as a racehorse training facility, this expansive property spans 242 acres in the heart of Temecula wine country and holds true to its mission of quality and equestrian tradition.
In 2010 Galway Downs was purchased by the Smith family with the heartfelt promise of renovation and new life while embracing the natural beauty and history surrounding the property. So today, as before and for years to come, Galway Downs is a beacon of unyielding bonds, family, nature, life, and truth.

Galway Downs features over 500 fully-matted permanent stalls, 13 geotextile arenas, and over 4 miles of international-level cross country tracks.

Galway Downs is the permanent home of Galway Downs Eventing and Pacific Coast Dressage, operated by Kellerhouse Presents, as well as the Temecula Valley National series presented by Nilforushan Equisport Events.

USEA American Eventing Championships

The 2025 United States Eventing Association American Eventing Championships are the national championship for American eventing competitors. This competition is held annually, but rarely does it travel to the West coast! Join us August 27-31 and watch the best in the country compete for over $100,000 in prizes. Free public admission. VIP tickets and hospitality options are also available. Individual seats and tables of 8 available with full access to breakfast, lunch, drinks, shaded seating at our Grand Prix arena and more!

An evening of music, horses, and community in the Grand Prix Arena at Galway Downs!
Enjoy a live Toby Keith tribute by The James Kelly Band, equestrian performances, Texas-style BBQ, complimentary champagne, and more—all in support of the Nature Education Foundation.

VIP AND ENTERTAINMENT
Many events at Galway Downs offer a luxury spectating experience in the VIP Pavilion. VIP ticket holders are granted a-la-carte access to full breakfast and lunch buffets that feature a wide array of delicious hand-crafted dishes suited to meet all palates. VIP guests also enjoy bottomless refreshments and a variety of sweet treats as part of their meal package.
General admission is free at all Galway Downs equestrian events. Spectators can watch world-class riders and their equine partners perform in a variety of disciplines, including dressage, three day eventing, hunters, and jumpers. Some events offer additional matinee or evening entertainment, such as live music or parties. Whether you crave an adrenaline rush or the calm of a precise routine, there's something for everyone at Galway Downs.
