Olympic-level equestrians and future stars are galloping toward Galway Downs Equestrian in Temecula for international competition March 26-29. You’re invited to join them for a special Progressive VIP Cross-Country Tour, Friday March 27.

Sip and Salute Elite Equine Athletes & Bold Equestrians
This exclusive tour begins with gourmet breakfast from 8 to 9:30 a.m. in the ringside Grand Prix Pavilion. A morning of up-close action follows on Galway Downs’ world-renowned cross-country jumping course. It spans four miles, weaving through most of Galway’s 242 beautifully landscaped acres.
The first Tour stop is the Haven at the Galway Yacht Club. From a close yet safe spot, you’ll cheer contenders as they splash through ponds, fly up and down grass mounds and over substantial jumps. You’ll see first-hand why these are all tests of courage, athleticism, training and the unique partnership between horse and rider.
From the Galway Yacht Club, take a walking tour of more course highlights or travel by hayride to another fantastic vantage point near the control tower overlooking the Oak Tree Water complex.
Galway Downs’ famous hospitality includes on-site experts offering insights throughout the Tour. Two-time Olympic equestrian Lauren Billys-Shady is our distinguished expert for Friday’s event.
International competitors will begin tackling the course at 10 a.m. That’s when Danza del Sol and Masia de la Vinya wineries will start pouring a variety of their wines and champagne.
The Tour concludes with a gourmet lunch back at Galway Downs’ elegant Grand Prix Pavilion.
Competition in all phases of Three-Day Eventing, at various levels, runs Thursday, March 26 – Sunday, March 29, and is free to the public.
